Jim Spinney, Partner
Jim's involvement in the records management consulting and warehouse management industry spans more than 25 years. He founded Data Storage Centers in 1986 in Jacksonville, Florida. Starting with this one location, Data Storage Centers grew to 16 locations nationwide and at the time of its sale in 2000, DSC was the fifth largest records management company in the United States. He developed corporate wide sales training program that was used in training sales personnel nationwide.
Jim excelled at diversification in the records management business. Not only did he develop and grow quality records storage centers, Jim led these businesses into additional revenue source business units such as vault media, forms management, imaging, fulfillment services, special file room projects and open shelf file storage. He was also actively involved in successfully completing several record storage acquisitions and mergers.
Recognizing his standing in the industry, Jim received invitations to speak at several PRISM national conferences and ARMA chapters around the country. His speech topics have included Disaster Recovery Planning, Telemarketing for Success, Imaging Service Bureau Development, Quality Management and Comparing Risks and Benefits of Offsite vs. Onsite Records Centers.
